Introducing the Door-Desk, a late creation by Preston Taylor Designs. Constructed from an 1840’s antique door, 100 year old reclaimed barn wood, 1/2″ galvanized pipe and a vintage-industrial, 2-drawer steel cabinet, mounted for organization and storage. This piece renders profound character and function.
These photos patently capture the detailed intention of Preston Taylor Designs. Many different textures seamlessly integrate. Saved wood overhead shows the character and imperfections caused by weather and age while the dry stack stone balances the warm ceiling with a rigid accent. The wall decor and furniture throughout, showcase the creativity and craftsmanship of Preston Taylor Designs. The overall space transmits a pleasant sense of repose and reflects a relaxing way of living.
A succession of photos capture and illustrate the dramatic transformation of this living room project. Once a blank canvas wall, there now stands a unique built-in entertainment center made from antique/ reclaimed doors, tongue and groove shiplap, a handmade porthole accented by LED rope lighting, and a custom mantle with dimmable 4″ lights recessed within for creating the ideal evening ambiance.
